Overview

West Virginia is 88% mountains.

At SITU, we don't
move mountains

Instead, we are building the breakthrough construction technology that unlocks West Virginia's mountainous terrain for A.I. & Energy supercycle development—doing our part to help seize unprecedented economic opportunity for our communities while keeping the Mountain State, the mountain state.

Vision Achor

Our Vision

SITU's West Virginia HQ Team of construction innovators, roboticists, and engineers are busy developing and implementing the technology, tools, and methods that will secure our state's standing in the A.I. & Energy supercycle.

Eventually, we will extend our reach to other markets that are similar to ours in that they too have ideally situated, but difficult to build upon, terrain. This will be guided by the mission of securing and maintaining the United States' dominant position in global A.I.

Our work together here in West Virginia is important and will be future-shaping.

Approach

Our Approach

SITU delivers precision through construction robotics. â€‹

A.I. and Energy supercycle-supporting infrastructure is substantially built off-site. Its modular construction elements are engineered to a very high standard of tolerance (much more precise than conventional construction) because these must perfectly fit intermodal transportation for trouble-free shipment to site, and once there, must fit together and attach to field-installed foundations with exactness to maximize material, labor and timeline efficiencies. The high level of precision inherent to industrial modulars, however, poses significant challenges for site installation using conventional construction methods—and especially so on difficult and/or remote sites that are mountainous. On such sites, conventional methods literally require a show of force involving a massive and costly scope of site clearance, grading, soils compaction, and significantly over-built concrete slab foundation installation.

SITU solves this by delivering the on-site precision required by industrial modulars with a light touch through the robotic positioning of point-load foundations (x, y & millimeter accuracy), making it possible to realize fit-certain, bolt-together installations of supercycle infrastructure. No land scraping, watershed alteration, or endless caravans of cement trucks required.

This translates to meaningful cost savings and unprecedented speed gains—making previously "unbuildable" mountain sites finally competitive with flat site development—a major win for West Virginia.
